Privacy on your phone
Ordinary typing and on-device voice stay on your phone. Loquela does not upload what you type, your corrections or your local voice sessions, and it never adds an AI rewriting pass.
The full rules are in the privacy policy; this page explains the controls.
What uses the internet
Loquela uses the internet to download the voice models you choose, to sign in, to process a purchase, for optional diagnostics, and for transcription with a third-party API key when you choose it. Typing and on-device voice do not need a connection once a model is installed.
Controls you have
- Incognito. Stops local learning and history capture for the keyboard session. Nothing you type while it is on is added to personalization.
- Sensitive fields. In password and other sensitive fields, voice, learning, suggestions and history are switched off automatically.
- Learned words. Personalization keeps small word signals rather than whole messages, addresses, links or code. You can review, remove, protect or clear learned words, or Clear all learned words at once.
- Clipboard history. Text you copy can be pasted back from the keyboard. It is encrypted on the phone and left out of Android backup. Turn it off any time, and use Clear clipboard history whenever you like. Pinned items stay until you delete them.
- Sent-message history (Full). Off by default. In supported apps it keeps up to the ten most recent sent messages, encrypted on the phone; you can view or clear it.
Android backup
Android may back up your settings, themes, profiles, snippets and custom accents through your phone's backup service. Clipboard history, sent-message history, learned text, diagnostics choices, account and purchase state, downloaded models and voice audio are left out.
Diagnostics
Crash reports, usage analytics and performance monitoring are each off by default and turned on separately in Settings. They are not meant to include typed text, clipboard contents or voice audio. To share a problem report with support, turn on only what you need, reproduce the problem, then share the report.
